Annual Charity Ball

Over the last three years we have organised an annual charity ball to raise funds and awareness for different charities. Recently we hosted our third annual charity ball, where we raised almost £12,000 in aid of St Teresa’s Hospice in Darlington. Take a look at the photo gallery from the event.

We are proud  to support the Darlington charity Family Help. Established in 1976, Family Help is an independent charity offering specialist domestic abuse support for women (and women with children) fleeing domestic abuse. Home to Darlington’s only women’s refuge – one of the longest-standing refuges in the UK – it provides safe temporary accommodation for those that need it in a purpose-built refuge.

Giving Thanks

The success of our charity activity, and the monies raised could not have been achieved without the support of friends, family and business owners in the North East of England and beyond.  Their kindness and generosity continues to overwhelm.

Our Partnerships

We understand that no one can make a meaningful change alone. HR2day is proud to partner with Power of Women (POW).

The Power of Women campaign was founded by dedicated business leaders in the North East, spearheaded by the late Professor Jane Turner OBE DL. Motivated by Plan UK’s report naming Middlesbrough as the ‘Worst Place to Grow Up a Girl,’ their mission is to improve the lives of young people in the Tees Valley and beyond.

Diversity & Inclusion

We take pride in assisting businesses to champion diversity and inclusion. By fostering diverse perspectives, companies fuel innovation and create a more welcoming workplace. This approach attracts top talent, boosts competitiveness, and enhances understanding of customers, leading to better products and services. Embracing diversity is not just about fairness; it’s a smart strategy that drives growth and advancement in our interconnected world.

Supporting Local Communities

We are champions of businesses embracing their local community, and the benefits are mutual. Encouraging local engagement not only creates a positive impact but also boosts business success. By supporting local initiatives, companies build trust and loyalty while tailoring their offerings to local needs. A thriving community translates to a strong customer base, brand visibility, and a supportive network. In essence, investing in the local community uplifts society and sets the stage for lasting business growth.

Our Monthly giving to Charities

We’re delighted to announce that starting this year, HR2day will be making monthly donations to a charity chosen by our wonderful team! 🎉💙 We believe in the power of giving back and empowering our team to make a difference. Stay tuned to see which incredible causes we’ll be supporting together! 🌟

We’re happy to share that the charity chosen for January was Mind whose mission is to ensure that everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets the appropriate help and support, raise awareness and promote understanding.

“Our approach of caring about people runs deep in our roots and is central to our company’s purpose.”
