The Power of Women campaign was founded by dedicated business leaders in the North East, spearheaded by the late Professor Jane Turner OBE DL. Motivated by Plan UK’s report naming Middlesbrough as the ‘Worst Place to Grow Up a Girl’ their mission is to improve the lives of young people in the Tees Valley and beyond.

How you can help

By supporting PoW, you will be helping young girls in the Tees Valley realise and reach their full potential. Help them be inspired to explore exciting paths, careers and lifestyles that celebrate their talents and lead to personal growth.

Help lift and shift aspirations across the Tees Valley. Corporate sponsorship can involve your time, donations, or even providing space for students to explore potential careers in your industry. For instance, a donation of £250 could sponsor a student to join our programme. And with £5000, you can sponsor a school, its community, teachers, and activity kits.
